By 1871 young Charles Green is a footman at the local MP's mansion.
But Henry and Charlotte Gosland have disappeared again!

UPDATE: In 1891 and 1901 Charles has progressed from footman to butler at Peamore House, seat of the Kekewich family. Looks like he died in 1919 at the age of 70.

Panic over. Henry and Charlotte are now Godsland in 1871 and 1881.

UPDATE: there seems to be a rash of Godslands born in Morchard Bishop, so the marriage and the 1861 census are spelling aberrations. I've found them in 1891. Charlotte dies 1892 and Henry in 1914 (but I can't find him in 1901).
