There are marriages too. They don't have ref numbers, it's just a record of the Christening. You're unlikely to find any more information about it, other than the Church name. Usually, when a birth date is recorded on the parish record, it is also shown on the online ones.

Thanks for that info Orange blossom. Still can't beleive we cant find the marriage of these two. It's got to be there somewhere.

It's possible they never married. Just been working on another family where all the children were registered in the father's name (with mother having married and maiden names), but they were never married.

Then if they never married how on earth are you supposed to find William's fathers name?
