  • Anyone got Ryan's from Wocestershire in there trees?

Interesting story in my local free paper this weekend,

'Hunt for relatives of first cemetery baby'

John Ryan was the first person to be buried in Astwood Cemetery in Worcester and the Guardians of the Cemetery are looking for any one related to John Ryan.

'John died aged just six weeks at Worcester Goal (which was in Castle Street). Records show his mother was Bridget Ryan (nee Butler) and his father was John Ryan and a stonemason, but beyond that nothing is known about what became of his family.'

Astwood Cemetery is 150 years old in October and they are going to place a head stone on the unmarked grave and wants to try and find members of his family to take part in the service (which is planned for next month).

Could John Ryan be one of yours?

If this is in the wrong place please feel free to move.
