  • George Edward Chambers, 1860, Lincoln

In my tree I have a George Edward Chambers b1860, Lincoln, son of Henry William Chambers and Margaret Granfield

I'm trying to trace him forwards with little success, in 1881 he's still with mum and dad in Lincoln. I don't have any later census returns for him. Did he marry? Did he die? Did he just live a long life as a single man?

I can rule out the Chambers/Parkinson marriage in 1896 and the George/George Edward deaths in 1901 at Lincoln.

        Thankyou

I think he's a boarder in 1911 still in Lincoln and Catherine may have died in 1919. I can't find any children, I suspect something fishy is going on somewhere, it looks like they split up to me.

Probably both mine as there are at least twelve in my tree, from the death index one is 81 and the other is 60, one aged 79 in 1921. I should do an annual to deceased online again as there are over 140 Chambers burials in Canwick Road around 120 at Newport Cemetery in Lincoln too. Findagrave has a few that proved useful guides last week and led to discovering a few new bmd events.

I take that back, I've got 14 George Chambers in my tree, the only two I haven't killed off were born 1860 and 1861.
