Hi all.

Well this is all new to me as I have just joined, but I hope that someone has access to some information for me as I am struggling. I Have a long term disability so that limits me on research as i can not afford some of these subscription fees.

I am trying to find out information on the parents of William Sharplin (estimated 1822 - 1854) and his wife he married on 24 May 1840 in Stepney Charlotte Terry (estimated 1819 - )

Any information at all will be most gratefully welcomed.

Charlotte full age spinster James Perry Lighterman
both of Perriwinckle Street both signed by their mark

Thanks Elaine thats brilliant news so just to reiterate William Sharplin was a carpenter, his Father John Sharplin was a Caulker.
Charlotte was a spinster, her fathers name was James Perry a Lighterman. So are you saying Charlottes surname is Perry and not Terry

Not sure how much you have from census returns but if you have a copy of 1841 for the couple, there is a James Terry lighteman on the opposite page
