Has anyone worked in this field?
I'd be grateful for contact, please.

    Welcome to the boards Jim

We need more information to help you, names , dates etc. Please don't post details of living people as this is against site rules.
Have you found any of them in the census records ?

    regards
    Jan x

      Welcome Jim.

This forum is more about helping each other research than linking up with people who have your names in their trees.

Have a look at the tab at the top marked Gedcom where you will get a drop down menu with the option to search the names database which we have on here. I can see quite a few born in Cheshire.

        Thanks for response.
I have Thomas Hank. b1904 Wilmslow wed Jessie Venton b1908 Nantwich
I have Jessie Milne Hank. b1890 Styal wed Percy Hewitt b1890 Handforth (a relative of mine)
"Jessie" suggests there might be a link. I'm trying to confirm this.
(Yes, I'm being lazy hoping someone else may have already walked this way!)

          Dear Margaret,
          Thanks for response.
Newly joined, playing myself in carefully and not wishing to step on any toes.
I accept your polite and mild rebuke and will be careful in future.
I tried the Gedcom route but it didn't work for me. I'll try again.
          Thanks again for guidance.

Why should there be a link just because the brides' names were Jessie?

Jessie's parents were William and Jane. She is with them on the 1911 Census. Jane was from Gloucestershire.

                  Dear Elizabeth.
A pious hope! It's not unknown.
Surely worth a try when you are at a standstill?
Nevertheless, Thankyou. All your info is correct. FYI the marriage was at St Chad's, Handforth ca 2 miles from where I am sitting.
                  I journey on.
