  • how to find hospital records

    Hi,

    my g.dad was discharged down to West Middx Hospital 1918, does anyone know how I go about finding his Hospital Records, Ive looked on N.A, but it only gives the Hospital.

    Any help appreciated.

    You need to contact the hospital concerned to see where their records went. Usually an NHS facility.

    You will need to prove your relationship to gain any access and what you will be given is very limited but it's worth asking.

      Up to 1920 West Middlesex Hospital was know as Brentford Union Infirmary. Limited records available. Check out the site. I can't do a link sorry. Ancestry don't have anything covering that period.

        The Hospitals Records Database states the following records are held for the hospital (at London Metropolitan Archives) Clinical & Patients 1896-1976
