are there any records for this period online ? I do have membership to Newspapers.com and could not find anything there although I do find it a hard site to search.

Do you have a specific date and location ?

It might be worthwhile emailing a library in that area and seeing if they know what is available?

hi bcbrit its Scarborough Ontario, this man died in 1987 and he was a high member of the Masons and a Chemist, so feel sure there would be a Newspaper article about his Death or funeral, I am trying to find out anything about his last wife, who is named on his Headstone, but not buried there.

If he was a well known person locally, his obituary would probably have been in the Toronto Star. (I used to live in Scarborough in the early 1980s.)
