        on the 1901 census it states that Guy is step-son to Robert, which to me says that he is Annies natural son but not Roberts. [Did Roberts first wife die?] I see that Vivian is living with them.

        I wouldn't make too much of Annie changing her middle name it might be that she didn't have a middle name at birth and liked the names Ellenor and Elizabeth/Emily.

          you know I spent ages last night trying to find this Annie in 1881 and 1891 with parents William and Amelia with and without the surname Wright or just with one parent and could not find her with either one??

            Oh Val, thank you so much for helping. It is very frustrating isn't it. I think I will just scroll through some census returns and see if anything turns up. Very much like we used to do in the record offices in the good old days!! X x Stella x x
