Oh good, that's what I had but it was getting late and I wasn't sure about Linden and there is again an age difference again from the directories but date matched death for Stan, hadn't found Helen
His occupation if you hover over it comes up as research worker, it looks like political Germany in the other column...must get some bits done!
KAT JUST ADDING IN HERE thought it looked like surveyingLast edited by Elaine; 15-10-13, 19:57.

1940 census
Bayerlein Franz - lodger- single- age 34 Germany- Alien- (residence in 1935 - Basel Switzerland) -research worker - surveying political Germany???!!!
Can't read occupation very well. will copy and paste that bit here in a minute.
Name clearly looks like Bayerlein but transcribed by Ancestry as Bueclein.
No wonder we have difficulty finding anything!!

Helen second name was elisabeth. That she is.

God! Who is Franz?!
My aunt told me, some relative from USA sent dollars on christmas. It was long time after 2.WW. But Maria hadn't children (probably). Maybe Irene? She hadn't children too.
So last problem - Michalina. She arrived and what after...

I found 5 yrs difference in Immigration dates on 3 censuses for one of my Polish relatives and 2yrs difference on another. It helps if they are correct but as we know DOB etc are often out by several years.

I can't work out a relationship with Knoll but I think 1930 is worth double checking round, keep coming back to itLast edited by Elaine; 14-10-13, 22:55.
