    Annie Dora Rosenthal help please

    Hello all

Annie Rosenthal married Morris Cohen in Liverpool and had 2 kids by the names of Edna and William before boarding a ship in 1925 for Boston MA.
I know she was still there in the late 50's as her name shows up in the US directories.
I don't have access to Ancestry but even with a free search I cannot seem to locate the family on the US census.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you know any ages or places of birth for Annie, Morris and the children?

      Sorry my bad.

Annie was born in 1892 in Leeds and then moved to Liverpool.
Edna was born in Liverpool in 1916 and William was born in 1921 also in Liverpool. I'm not sure about Morris.

Are you sure that it is your Annie Cohen that is showing up in the directories.
The 1940 US census shows an Annie Cohen, b c1892 with husband Hyman Cohen and daughter Tamar Cohen b1921 England - living in Boston MA

I was pretty sure but now I'm a little less sure.
I know they were headed to Boston MA.
The son was William E Cohen born 1921.

There is a Tamor Cohen (born 1921) with mother Annie on passenger list going to USA in October 1921 - I suspect this is the same Annie Cohen which I found on the 1940 US census, living in Boston.

I'll have another look at the 1930 census to see if I can see anything. Back in a mo!

Think I have found them in 1930 in Hartford, Connecticut
                I'll send you a message.

That would make sense as a few of her siblings lived there.

                  Thank you.

Cannot see them in 1940 census.

I tried googling them just in case but didn't come up with anything.

At least one of them should be alive on the 1940 census. I hope so anyway.

                      Thank you for looking Elaine.

1940 census transcriptions are available on FamilySearch - you might like to play around with the names and see if anything shows up. I can't see anything obvious on Ancestry at the moment.
