Absolutely no ringing bells in Toronto. Questions....Could Philip be one of the brothers of Sam Cohen? Morris sounds famililar and then of course, there's that Eizenberg name???? Rosa....0 bells. BSCIERRA.....the next phone call to your sister....would you mind asking about the names of your father's brothers? I have absolutely no clue here whatsoever....I'm drowning in nothing.

Hi Wendi - I think if we can find the death date for Sam it will put everything else more clearly in to the picture.
Hopefully in the meantime, I'll get a bite from BJ.
I received info from the JC for Charles Cohen - He passed away on 12th October, 1932, aged 83, late of 46 Glover St, Leeds. Deeply mourned by his sorrowing wife, sons, grandchildren, relatives and friends. There is no mention of daughters**.
According to JCRUK he was Charles Herman Cohen and he was buried at UHC Cemetery.

Trapped. I can't get at any info. on Sam until I return home to T.O.....I know it's a priority....I'll try and get to it asap....it's also Easter weekend here. Tomorrow's a holiday and Monday. Yikes...and so much FTF to catch up on. Charles Cohen does not sound like there's a connection. Thanks for noting "NO SONS".....I'll join the living after the weekend.

I'd forgotten about this site Wendi - shows marriages - at the moment - from 17/2/1880 until 31/12/1891.
You need to look at the brides surname and then do the grooms, so more info will come up.
If there's a match, you can order on-line.
This shows what info you should be able to see and the meaning -
I've found Lewis and Fanny's - it's in the other topic...you can order it on line.Last edited by naomiatt; 03-04-10, 00:19.

Wasn't sure to put this on here or on the Myers thread..
Can anybody see death info for Fanny/Fannie Cohen nee Myers....she passed away in Canada, 1961...birth year could be 1891-1893....
Still unsure as to when Sam Cohen passed away....perhaps 1934-1939...Last edited by naomiatt; 04-04-10, 00:56.

Hi - Wendi thinks that Fanny Cohen passed away in Regina, Sask and poss later than 1961.
Hope it's ok to put this on Wendi...
I don't know distances etc...sometimes for example in the UK, even if a person passed away 200miles away, they would be transported to the cemetery that they were a member of. I don't know if this would apply in
Fanny's case.
There are Cohen's in this, but not Fanny
There is a Fanny in this -

View Cohen Fanny Stockholm
You need to be a member to ask more - does Stockholm mean anything to you?Last edited by naomiatt; 05-04-10, 00:48.

Hi - yes IOOF - I.O.O.F. (Independent Order of Foresters) Court Ahavat Achim #3443
Doesn't look like there is on line burial info for Dawes Rd and you'd have to give them a call or e mail.Last edited by naomiatt; 05-04-10, 00:59.
