          Ner-ner. I'm on, though it took ages to load. Haven't tried to look for anything yet, though.

            The wildcard query resulted in too many matches.

            I haven't been getting the notorious Little Boy with Rope today, but this message, instead - for:
            George Lancaster
            London - Ham*
            DoB 1877 ±2
            father = richard
            mother = harriet

            I simply don't believe it! :(:(

              PS - I'm looking at 1881

              It looks as if "ham*" triggers the too-many message.

              You can put in less info, but exclude that, and you just get a normal no-results.

                If you put London in as the county and ham* as the parish for birthplace, it comes back with "no matches", and the same if you put them in for residence, so it must have been one of those temporary glitches. Try again! Well, don't bother trying that particular search as there are no matches, but you know what I mean!

                      I've just got a blank screen with "Done" in the bottom left of the screen. Don't know what's been "done" but it ain't working!

                        At first glance it seems to be OK. I just put my surname in and a whole pile of results came up.
