Everything except MMN would make me think this birth belongs to this family...thoughts? I couldn't find a Coverly/Marshall marriage.

Have you got any further back in your tree. Just wondered if Emma's Mother was Marshall and she registered the birth and got mixed up.

I've had them when they have been married twice to use maiden name and first married name!!

Thanks, I was wondering if it was a transcription error, but your idea makes sense, too.

If you look at it, the couple is married in 1861, but the first child I know about is 1868, then they produce a bunch more.
