The online indexes for births, marriages & deaths in Western Australia have recently been updated.
These new indexes contain more information than was given on the old site. We now get the person's full name (including any middle names), and both parents full names (including mother's maiden name) for both Births and Deaths. We also now get the year and place of the actual event, whereas the old index just gave you the year/place of registration.
The range of searchable years has also changed: Births 1841-1921, Deaths 1841-1991 and Marriages 1841-1946. The site claims that these indexes will be updated annually, so presumably we will get an extra year added to the search range each year, as is the case with the QLD indexes. Unfortunately however, unlike with the QLD indexes we still don't get the precise date of the event - just the year.
