  • Another difficult entry...

Just me again and I'm having trouble with the date and age this time.. I've tried inverting it but its still not clear, I wondered if there were any other versions out there that it can be compared against. Not sure if FMP has Derbyshire Burials or not.

Looks like June 17th [1838] There is a baptism for Elizabeth Ann Robinson June 11 1837 Pinxton so over a year old -maybe 12 to 14 months?? Difficult.

Thanks Kat, I have already transcribed the baptisms so could have checked there but didn't think!.. duh!..

upon looking again it looks like she was 14months I think I can see a feint downward stick for the 4. The burial date it looks like a 7 but there is an upward mark above the 7 that could be a 9? it doesn't help that even ancestrys version isn't that clear when inverted

Definitely June 17th. Age looks like 7 months but it’s really not clear enough to be sure.

Thanks GL I've gone with the 17th and 14months but I'll put a note in the notes bit.

It also seems that there was another Eliza Robinson from the same area that died 4 years earlier. Might have been a sister. Speculation though as no parents names were given.

The transcription for the baptism of Elizabeth Ann Robinson shows NO parent's names,

Yet the image shows them as Matthew and Hannah - See Post no 2
There appear to be several like that in that set.
