I recently uncovered a harrowing story regarding a 16 year old ancestor of mine. It was a really tragic tale in many ways that raised more questions than answers. It just shows that not all family history stories are happy ones

It certainly was a very unhappy story and was a very difficult story to write. I think there is far more left untold to this story than I will ever be able to discover from the records.Last edited by Paulc; 03-04-22, 09:48.

It is so sad.
I have a very similar thing. My fathers Aunt Eliza Everitt drowned in the River Trent aged 18. The death certificate said Suicide by drowning herself in the river Trent whilst temporarily insane.
The newspaper article said she was pregnant.Lin
