  • Where's Caroline in 1841?

Caroline Gibbs was born 1825, she was baptised at Aylesbury Non-Conformist chapel.
Her parents were John Gibbs and Mary Rolls.
She married in 1849 at Aylesbury.

Can anyone please find Caroline and her parents whereabouts in 1841?

Do you know the yeas the parents were born and the name of any other children?
There is a John and Mary Gibbs at ? Walton St., Aylesbury. John is an auctioneer. Of course John and Mary are both very common names so I am probably barking up the wrong tree but will keep looking.

There's a Caroline Gibbs living in Wiltshire with a family called Batchlor - maybe she left home, lied about her age and got lodgings and a job? Bit of a long shot

          There is this census

          Name Age
          John Gibbs 50
          Mary Gibbs 50
          Mary Ann Gibbs 20
          Rebecca Gibbs 12
          Martha Gibbs 11

Christening records for John and Mary in Aylesbury bring back these children, maybe not all theirs:

          Mary Ann Gibbs
          John Rolls Gibbs
          Caroline Gibbs
          Rebecca Gibbs
          Robert Gibbs
          Eliza Gibbs
          Martha Gibbs
          William Gibbs

There is a Caroline Gibbs in house of correction, which I did dismiss, but maybe it's her, born out of county. I kind of thought too far away from Oxford https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageview...4&pId=10710300

Just found some more baptism for other children on the same date.
Sarah born Sep 1822, Caroline born Oct 1825, Eliza born Oct 1826, Rebecca born Sep 1828 and Martha born Apr 1830.
According to 1851 census John was born 1793 and Mary born 1788.

Rebecca, Martha and Sarah are on 1851 with the parents

Mary Ann, Rebecca and Martha are on 1841 with parents. Didn't find Mary Ann, she must have been bap earlier. No sign of Caroline.

I feel an auctioneers daughter shouldn't be in the house of correction, so not sure where she is, back in Aylesbury to marry though

John and Mary married in 1810 and her maiden name was Rose, baptisms say Rolls.

Eliza 1812, John Rolls? 1815, Robert 1816, William 1818 and Mary Ann 1819.

Just wondering if Caroline was with any of them on the census.
