  • Having a bit of difficulty with the wording....

If anyone can please make out the names/witness's to the marriage of William Brown to Catherine White I would be most appreciative, trying to find anything on Catherine is proving to be rather difficult!

William Brown of this Parish and Catherine White of the Parish of South Normanton were married in this church by banns first duly published, this 28th day of April 1777 by me P Wilson Curate.
This marriage was solemnized betwixt us Wm Brown Catherine White...

      In the presence of

      George White

William/Christopher or Hannah White? I really can't decide which!
      and Eliza Stendall??

Thank you bcbrit cbcarolyn Jill on the A272 kylejustin vera2013
I'm quite confident that George is George White and Eliza Stendall I'm good with, interestingly there is an Eliza Stendall that marries Edwin White in Alfreton in 1777 as well. Though whether that is the same Eliza Stendall is another matter.

I did try inverting the image vera2013 but I still couldn't decide what it said...
