  • death and will

    hi,

random question as i'm a bit confused.

i have the death of my great aunt in France, (i dont know why she was in france but she was) the french death record even has her maiden name listed. Anyway i've been looking for a will for her and have found one, the name, date of death both match BUT the will is linked to an address in Lincolnshire UK. Is this possible? her name isnt common (Violetta Beatty wood) so i'm pretty sure it is the same person. i have ordered the will but was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this. thanks

As far as I am aware the will would be administered at the place that is dealing with the will. her Place of death has no bearing, she could even have been on holiday.

The probate bit will probably say who is executor and she died in France and give her address in England. Sometimes if the will was made a long while ago the address could be an old one.
