Hoping I am onto a Ward family member at last after finding a will which I am about to order but need to try and find this lady 1841 and 1851.
Christiana Ward died 22 May 1879 age 73 Spinster in Welbourne, Lincs, probate to Reuben and Henry Wand both of Newark, Notts; Reuben Wand married Mary Ward 1832 and I know all the family connections and history as Mary's father was Jonas Ward.
I have Christiana
1861 North Collingham
1871 Wellbourne and here she is born in Ossett
Jonas was a fishmonger from 1817 in Newark (previously a horsekeeper) as was another Ward in Newark, Thomas Ward, fishmonger born Ossett; Jonas died before the 1841 census and had already moved to Leicester whilst Thomas is in Newark and Thomas's daughter Rebecca is with Reuben and Mary in Newark. Jonas c1787, Thomas c1796 and Christiana c1806 might be siblings and trees have them as children of Isaac and Rebecca, children baptised in Ossett, so hoping finding Christiana in the earlier returns will throw up something as I have most of the other possible siblings on a separate tree and they are clothiers/weavers; Thomas by 1851 is in Leeds and still a fishmonger.
Children of Isaac and Rebecca...Non-conformist ones! Still not got to grips with the new search!
Thanks everyone
