Old script from 1600s and 1700s - Latin dates???

I wonder if someone can help me with some strange sqiggles - I suspect that they are latin abbreviations for centuries, but would like confimation.
The images are from the same will, dated 1714. Can you help with the red boxes?

My interpretation is 1714

jaj = 1000

vii / vij = 7

followed by the word fourteen.

I think I've made a big breakthrough in taking my Cumming line back to about 1520...and am trying not to get ahead of myself!
