This is interesting as it is the same info that I have found through other means and there is a DNA connection to it too..

How likely is it do you think that this is flagging up that it's right?

                      well, pdf's are in:

Elizabeth dies in 1858 Milford aged 67 years which gives a birth year of 1791 so she was 61 in 1851 census then. Benjamin present at the death.

Benjamin.. hmm this is a bit tricky. He dies in St Peters Derby 1861 ct2 abbey street aged 76 but the person that was present at the death is a Mary Osborn, whom I have no idea who she is!

Having said that half of them vanish without trace and never die as they don't appear in records!

Julie, have you looked on the 1861 census to see if you can find Mary near where he died. Could be a neighbour or he took up with another woman!!

I think she might be his daugher in law. Living with Thomas, born Sutton. Court No 2 No 3 House 2 Abbey St, St Werbergh.

Mary was born 1814 if you want to look on 1861 census.

Not checked if Thomas is his son!

her maiden name was Pinder yes she married Benjamin in 1806.

I haven't found Benjamin on the 1861 yet but that does look like you have found the connection. I'm tying myself in knots with this family so many names and the same names repeating.

Julie, I was fed up yesterday afternoon and looked at a couple of the children

Joseph Osbourn 1830 married Hannah Allsop in 8153 Duffield.

On 1861 Belper area, she dies 1866 and he is on 1871 same area. Think he dies 1888 but can't see him on 1881 census.

Didn't write most of it down but will give you a start.

Thank you Lin, I have been tracking some of them, but have been also tracking some of their cousins.. which is a bad thing really as I get muddled. [I know, I know]

I have found Thomas's marriage to Mary as well today... I'll copy this lot across to the thread on Research so it keeps it altogether.
