I used to be on some of the rootsweb mailing lists but I believe they ceased. I did have a lot of help from the new zealand one and would like to join again. Any ideas where to find them now?

Roots web was hacked last year and it has been discontinued. The mailing lists have been archived here

They have been sort of taken over by: https://groups.io/

It works slightly differently but you subscribe as you did to mailing lists. Some county lists have been amalgamated but there does appear to be a couple for NZ although I haven't looked into them.

Obviously traffic on them has slowed to a trickle over recent years.

Yes thank I found one that I subscribed to and have had emails frm them but the mail that I sesnt hasnt come through yet. So not sure about that. but I think I have found what I needed now through more searching on newspapers etc.
