I’m wondering where I saw ‘Estate Worker’ on Thomas Louis Newman’s record’s.

    I definitely did somewhere ...

maybe if you add this lot you can see if you get any DNA matches, could give you a hint to see if worth pursuing them.

Many Thanks for all of the further info.

I'll try searching for Hurst among the DNA Matches.

I did find a Newman match who matched to a Queen match in my Mother's lists last night, - and that might be the crossover point with the USA matches...

I looked through all of the Newman’s in the right area and approximate age group to have been a potential Father to Thomas Louis Newman.

As you have seen, there aren’t that many Newman’s in Carnarvonshire, and Frederick William Newman looked a likely candidate.

It’s just guesswork really, because I don’t have anything definite to go on, - no birthcerts, baptisms, or marriage certs. They are usually my starting points.

          Holly.

Frederick William 1844 must be the death, so it would be William b 1848, but they didn't stay in Wales. It could have been Thomas James, also born in Wales, but he lived in Sussex and they had no children.

I found a couple of census for him, but no more after 1861

            here he is in 1851:

            Household schedule number: 88
            Piece: 1736
            Page Number: 19

            and in 1861

            ED, institution, or vessel: 13

            Piece: 924
            Folio: 143

he could have gone back to wales, didn't find him again.

I did spot someone with these newmans in their tree, and had "DNA match" marked as a comment, so if this is your family you would match to him I guess.

I might be going off on a tangent here, - but I’ve been trying to follow this Newman family, who I have a DNA match to:

Can’t seem to attach a screenshot:-(

No, I don't have a DNA Match to him.

I'll try and post a link here:
