I've booked for My Ancestors Worked in Textile Mills and My Ancestor was a Blacksmith in July - maybe I will see you there?

I saw that ..... I might be tempted to watch later on but I'll stick to being an amateur.

These online talks are a brilliant way of reminding you what you know and gave lots of ideas of where to look further. Yesterday's one about the Blacksmith was well attended and informative. The same speaker is doing the ag lab one in July.

I hope they continue them. I'm a member, but even £10 for a non-member and sitting in my armchair instead of having to go up to London and back, which takes most of the day, is great. The downside is not being able to get at their collections which are not online at the same time, as that was why I joined.

Yesterday's talk about Textile mill workers was really interesting. It was a lot longer than the advertised hour so very well worth it!! Even if you think you know a lot already about the topic they give other places to explore. They are open to non-members as well, you just pay a bit more for them.

I've signed up for another couple in November and am mithering about a couple more in September/October:

AntonyM with Your Buckinghamshire Ancestors and Tracing Brewery & Publican Ancestors.
