Lucy Taylor, where did she go?

I've been looking for Lucy Taylor [nee Davis] b.1828 Sutton, Warwickshire. She marries Richard Taylor a widower in 1856 and have at least 4 children together. [one before and three after marriage] and live in Birmingham, England.

    I have Lucy in:

    Richard dies in 1867

Above is Birmingham Workhouse Spring Hill.

I think have her dying in 1903 [I don't have the cert though and am loathe to send off for it as the wait is unreal.]
Apologies for the long post but I wanted to make sure that I had all the info in the post can anyone else spot Lucy in the missing 20yrs please.

    thank you.

Clara Taylor was born 1857 in Warwickshire, [possibly Aston] and her parents were Richard Taylor b. 1808 Clent, Staffs and Lucy Davis b. 1828 Sutton [Coldfield?] Warwickshire.

I cannot find a birth or bapt for Clara and in 1871 she has the added initial of 'A'. Her parents are equally as awkward to track, her mother in particular.

Richard was married before he married Lucy, I have Richard from 1841 until his probable death in 1867 so I am kind of ok with him.

Lucy on the other hand is a problem, I cannot seem to find anything on her from 1871 until 1901 and her probable death in 1903.

could anyone else possibly lend a hand in trying to find these please.

thank you for reading and sorry for the long post.

To answer your fist post, yes I had noticed some changes. I prefer results lists of 50 but it didn't seem to stay like that when I changed it. Also, on your own tree there is a little icon just below the headline name which opens a notes page consisting of notes I had written on my computer tree and are now visible on my Ancestry tree (but only to me and people with editing rights)

right, ok.. I have found Clara Ann DAVIS b. 1856 and she married Lewis POWELL. I have now managed to track them through to their deaths.

I am still struggling with Lucy however.

The only thing I can find is in 1881 a no name Taylor acting as a Housekeeper to a George Fisher, widower and his three children. The maiden name of the mother according to GRO is Taylor. .............Taylor is b 1828 Birmingham. They are living in W Bromwich

            https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interacti...&usePUBJs=true

I can see a marriage for George Fisher aged 24 to Emily Taylor aged 31 November 1871.
Emily's father is Joseph deceased. The marriage was at St Georges, Birmingham.

Rightio thanks Vera, not sure that that would be her but anything is possible!..

am just having another look. just seems very odd that there is nothing... I thought that maybe by tracking her children that she may be with them later on. I know I said I had found a death in 1903 and 'a' Lucy Taylor in 1901 but nothing really to prove that she is 'my' Lucy Taylor. [except that she was b. Sutton]

I can see a possible death for 1903 b 1829. There is also a burial at the Witton cemetery but no image.

That 1901 looks good for her but I suppose if not, she could have re-married.

Sorry Vera I got muddled with 1905 for her death.. it is 1903. I don't have FMP unfortunately so cant see that link.

I have been looking for the other family members but it is so difficult as the names seem to be so common. [though I have made a little headway with my Grandmas sisters BMD records]
