Have at last found this chap in New Zealand. John was from Norfolk and have all the info on him I need except for the gaps in NZ. However, I found his death certifcate in a 1910 file saying he had died intestate
and this file about George Cullington, who would be his son who died in Heigham, mother Elizabeth Todd....Bessie Todd on John's death certificate as wife
Have looked at NZ archives where George's papers are also, nothing extra but John's is not archived and you are directed to the IGI, same set again.
No problem so far as I can tie in the death of George in Heigham.
Need help with a couple of things
1. John dies but is apparently married to Harriet with one son William John Cullington...John's certificate only mentions Bessie Todd, occupation for father matches
https://ndhadeliver.natlib.govt.nz/d...pid=IE48687569
William's wife confirms his mother's name as Harriet and have NZ BMD reference
Harriet's death 1915 states she is widow of John, electoral rolls have them together from 1881. Passenger list has him arriving alone Dec 1863.
there's nothing in papers past to suggest a settlement at any point.
Do you think this is all the paperwork that has survived ?
George's paperwork is dated 1912 but I would have thought that should have been included in John's file.
2. Who is Harriet, did they marry as no mention of a second marriage?
Harriet dies 1915 at her son's residence Hardington Street as Harriett, relict of the late John Cullington
John's death looks to have been registered as Cullingham 1895, would the 1910 certificate be a copy of this ?
