The great majority of records at the National Archives aren't online and certainly not the Chancery records you've mentioned, Carolyn. If you want to order the free online records, you just need to click on Find online collections on the home page, then you can filter by category in the list on the LH side of the page. There are also Digital microfilm records on the National Archives site which have always been available for free. These aren't indexed, though, you have search page by pageThe National Archives, Kew – Research Service Offered
