      sorry this is really weird it has let me see it again, rather than go to the sign up for WW screen, and it is not him, as just before census that he arrived 9 Mar 1851, and birth 1822....and more importantly he is american!

        there is a R Wade birth year in ball park that are on ship lists, might be worth a look? I found another Wadey off to US - is this his uncle?

              There is a Reuben Wade that fought in the ACW but died at one of the big erm forgot the name of the word place where battles took place. Sorry. I seem to remember though that that Reuben came from Georgia. I'll see if I can find the details.

                        I haven't found anything under Jenner and as his stepdad George Jenner abandoned his family (the rat!) and was never seen again I think it unlikely.

                                  I haven't researched the Wadeys back because they were Reuben's father's family and so not my husband's relations as Reuben's mother remarried and my husband is descended from the second marriage to George Jenner. It may indicate that Reuben had kinsfolk in the US as Lower Beeding is not far from where Reuben was last spotted. Thankyou.
