  • Australian Marriage help

I am unable to look at Australian marriage or emigration so could someone help please. Frances Jane Lush born 1895 to Silas and Jane in Hampshire UK. I am trying to find her marriage and there is 1 in the Ancestry hints for Victoria Australia to William Saunders. I know there is more than 1 Frances Lush so I am not sure if this is my one. There are also inward and outward from the UK. If anyone could help please
    Regards
    Ann

You can purchase this cert for $A20 from BDM Victoria, Family History Search if you wish.
Have not been able to find references on Trove but Ancestry appear to have a private tree for this person.

Have not yet been able to locate the arrival of Frances Jane Lush, but assume it was sometime between 1911 (when she appears on the 1911 census as a servant) and 1914, when she married William Stanley Saunders. She seems to have returned per "Moreton Bay" without her husband...would he have been called up for the war? William, Frances and son Stanley are all together in 1939.

I would suggest getting the marriage. It would be the same price as an english cert with currency conversion, and can be downloaded straight away.

east coast records are quite informative. You will get date and place of marriage, names, birthplaces, ages for bride and groom. Marital status, number of children alive and dead from previous marriage, occupations, current and normal address for bride and groom (some people married away from home). You will also get father's name and occupation, occasionally mention of whether he was deceased, and mother's full name and maiden name.

thereby all the evidence you nees to be 100% it is your relative.

i really wish english records were that informative. Would solve so many issues.

This address was where William Saunders lived with his parents in 1911.
