Hi Laura.... just wondering if you tried the spelling Soutar at all?
I have Soutar's which often come up as Sowters so might work the same way... just a thought and probably no use whatsoever......

**Nips off before she starts getting on Laaura's wick** :D

      Hi Laura
I don't have access to the full version of 1901 census - but the search engine has showed up a Fanny Sowter, age 32, born in Castle Donnington and still living there.
She's about the right age, but wrong name. Wonder if she had a middle name or nickname?

If its not her, then hope you find her soon.

and there should be another males as there were 3 women

        Shardlow covers Castle Donnington

There are 2 entries on freebmd and it looks like George Barber or Charles Garton are the possible spouses
