I'll be heading into Reg House on monday 21st January.....and last time i was there I got a book called Jock Tamson's Bairns...
Jock Tamson's Bairns: A History of the Records of the General Register Office for Scotland (Paperback)
it gives information about the history of the Old Parochial Registers and Census and Statutory Records in Scotland and is actually a very interesting read!!

but there aint much info there for it...
Anyways.....as far as i remember the book cost a couple of pound at Reg House.......
If anyone would like me to get them a copy and send it on to them I'd be quite happy to!! Although I wont be able to afford the costs myself....it would be no prob to get a few copies and forward them on ..
anyway was just a wee thought....
