Well... I am interested in getting my grandads army records and I just wondered where I need to go to order them and if i remember rightly I think I read that the next of kin needs to sign something??? Would that be his eldest child as his wife is also dead. He served from about 1925 for roughly 20 years.

You need the second address here:

        Army Records Office

        (the Glasgow one)

You could probably phone them for the forms. The next of kin has to sign a declaration to say that's who they are, and I think you have to send a copy of the man's death cert, plus whatever info you have (date of birth and army number if poss). That's about it!
