    Still looking for my GRAVES line...

    Having possibly found a death for William, (thanks Vikki)

    I decided to go thro the rest of the sibs, and was having a look for Martha Graves...

    Not having much luck, So I looked for a marriage... hmmn 1867 (cant find her in 1861).. so look for poss spouses, to see if any could be her..

    One name is BOWDEN, nothing jumpin out at that, the other name is HOLWILL.. so have a look..

    and found a Martha Holwill b. 1843 uffculme (which is right for my Martha)

    and Have dropped on the 1881 cens first hit!!!

    Class: RG11; Piece: 3334; Folio: 106; Page: 33;

    She is in HUCKNALL TORKARD... the same place as her Brother Thomas (my gt gt grandad)...

    IS this just me and wishful thinking???

    Could be her, Obviously the only way to know for sure would be to order the marriage certificate, unless you find her later on with a Graves family member

    I think this family are gonna cost you a small fortune;)

      I have found Martha and Henry Hollwill in 1871, with 3 children, Henry is listed as Police Constable

      the ages of the children would tie in nicely with an 1867 marriage

      RG10; Piece: 2412; Folio: 34; Page: 15 - South Petherton, Yeovil

        yep that looks like them... Have found them on the 1901 cens in nottm as Hollwell... but nothing as yet for the 1891...

        or 1861..

        seems abit of an odd change of job though, policeman to miner?

          I did think that, but there is usually a good explanation (if you can find it)

          I couldn't see them in 1891 either or Martha in 1861, I didn't look for Henry yet.
