I’m only 21 and yet since the age of 14 I’ve been saying tomy Mum- I’m going to find out about our family! I’m going to trace them so thatI know where I come from, what makes me, well me. Every year would be the samething, I’d get a notepad and write my Grandparents details out and that wouldbe as far as I got before giving up again.

Now, now I’ve found a weather ofinformation thanks to one little detail- a random little search to get some details about my Grandparent’s for my Mum’s 50
th birthday last week and now I actually have a mix of family trees going back to the 17thcentury and none of that would have been possible without Ancestry’s free 1911 census, this forum and Mundia. Just think this may never have happened at all. Itwould have ended in 2009 with an extra death date added onto mine if I hadn’t made it through to that crash.

All I knew was that my Dad’s a Lennon and my Mum a Phillips.I knew that my Mum’s Mum was a Tubridy and my Dad’s Mum a Peacock. Now I’vefound the following surnames:

Mum’s family:
· Phillips- 17th century
· Tubridy- 18th century
· Burton- 18th century
· Cornforth- 17th century
· Thomas- 18th century
· Ford- 18th century
· Leighton- 17th century

Dad’s family:
· Peacock- 18th century
· Dack- 17th century
· Lennon- 19th century
· Bailey- 1 person, 19th century

The most amazing part is that I only started all this on 27thAugust, last week.
