  • McKeeman of Ballymena Ireland

    Hi
I have managed to trace back my great great grandfather John McKeeman of Ballymena ,County Antrim .He was born around 1819- 1822 ( according to the family bible he was born on May 1st ) He came to Canada before 1838 during or before the famine. He came with a brother , Robert McKeeman . Met a relative, Daniel McKeeman in Canada. He had worked in Greenock Township , Bruce Country. He married a Canadian ,Elizabeth Graham. He was affectionately known as Daddie John. I like to find his parents. Any info would be great !
    Thanks Much

Egads, we may be related by marriage. Did John have a grandson, William Clyde (went my Clyde) who married Pearl? Pearl is my g'g'aunt!

Yep, just checked the tree - the John in my tree married Elizabeth Graham!

I think I have an entry for his death in a death registry, but it simply says "ireland". Have you looked for an obit? That late in time, there may be more info.

Also, is there a reason you're blogging this instead of posting it on the research forum?

Familysearch has Ballymena baptisms for 1788-1825. If his brothers are older, than it may capture them. Don't know what denomination the church is tho. Will try to check it out.
