I subscribe to FMP but just went on to look something up and it says, in red letters, 1911 Census FREE...


Until 18 November 2012, view a 1911 census transcript for free (usually 10 credits) and a 1911 census original image for 5 credits (usually 30). There's never been a better time to search for your ancestors in the 1911 census

How do FMP transcriptions and search engine compare with Ancestry's? I have a sub. for Ancestry so wouldn't normally look at FMP.

I actually prefer the census's on FMP but wouldn't be without Ancestry

i find fmp faster and more relevant in their search returns. and the transcriptions are very clear. i mainly find the parish records on both are a bit of what i need.
