    Hi everyone.
I am trying to find my husbands grandfather and grandmother but I have hit a brick wall.He originally came from Flanders in Belgium but came over here with his 2 brothers. They returned to Flanders but he remained here and married. His name was Celestin Wellecomme and I have him marrying a Julia Henbury circa 1924 although I cannot find any further records for either of them, even in electoral roles. He had 1 son Allan Celestin in 1926 who passed away in 1985 and 3 daughters one of whom died almost at birth, the other 2 surviving. I have contacted the family in Belgium and they have confirmed that they have no knowledge what happened to him, so if anyone could help me shed some light on this puzzle I would be really grateful.
    Many thanks
    Welleboot

To access your messages at the top of the page there are two options, one under reference library is Private Message click there, the other is notifications click there, either one will get you to the right place to read the messages, if you have read them already then ok.

                            Hello Brenda...

I find the birth certificate from Célestin.
His father was Joannes Baptista WELLECOMME and his mother Ludovica Maria DE BROCK.
When Célestin was born, they leaving in Ostend on the Constantinoplestreet, 30.

                            Just a question..
If he married a girl named Gladys in september 1924 , was her name CARSON ?

                            Good night

                            Guy

Hello Guy. Thank you for your reply, that is very interesting news. The records here show that Gladys' maiden name was Henbury and they married in the district of Southwark.
                              Speak to you soon

Hi Guy. Sorry but this is getting more and more strange. I have now discovered that Celestin did marry Julia, whose middle name was Gladys Henbrey(Henbury) in 1926 but also that they had a daughter Gladys in 1923. This is where the confusion took place.
                                  Regards Brenda
