  • Where are they on 1911?

    Hi all,

Another pair of eyes needed for this one as run out of ideas. I am missing someone from 1911 and wondered if someone could have a look and see if they can locate them.

My great great grandparents first child born was Elizabeth Rosina Clara Dulieu. Baptised 15th May 1892. (birth on freebmd Jun Qtr 1892).

She marries in 1914 to her only husband Henry Hoare in Camberwell, SE London. (She dies in Lewisham SE London 1966).

So in theory she should be with her parents in 1911...but she's not.

Her parents and siblings are living at 114 East Surrey Grove, Peckham, SE London where they have done for a number of years.

    Thanks
    Craig

Yes, there's a line through it indicating no occupation.

The wedding register has her middle name as Clarissa.

Ancestry has the surname mistranscribed as DULIEN

She appears in a couple of public trees and one private one on Ancestry. None mentions the 1911 info.

yep it does Christine, but I think she wanted to make her name sound abit posher..lol. she was bapt Elizabeth Rosina Clara Dulieu... the surname in itself is a nightmare to find in the census, as its ripe for mistrans!.. :smilee:

An outsider chance. On Ancestry there's one transcribed as Lillian Dulica but it sure could be Dulieu. Aged 19 b. Hackney. at 56 Broad St, High Holborn.

I know the first name is different but it may be a corruption of Elizabeth? The rest fits.
Where's that straw? I need to grasp it.

Thanks for that... it could be as on the 1901 census she was listed as Lily or something like that aged 8.

Just looked at the 1911 original census sheet... and i can see how it could have been misspelt/mistranscribed.. but to me it looks like dulieu and that was the straw/needle that needed to be found.
