Hi all,
Can anyone spot William Bromley for me on the 1891 or 1901 census'. I am completely at a loss as to where he is.
He was born on the 12th June 1860, at Church Gresley in Derbyshire, the son of Jonathan Clee Bromley and Mary Parker.
On the 1861 census he is living with his parents at Gresley. 1861 Census
On the 1871 census he is still living at Gresley with his parents. 1871 Census
By the time of the 1881 census he has moved out of his father's house, and is now a border, but still living in Gresley. His place of birth also now reads Swadlincote, which was where the Bromley family resided before moving to Church Gresley. 1881 Census
Then he goes missing for two decades, in which time he marries. I have no idea what the time of his wife was, or if he had any children.
The 1911 census shows William as a Widower now residing in Pwllheli, Caernarvonshire. 1911 Census
William died in 1926, and is buried at Denio (just outside Pwllheli). The person who registered his death is listed as the Occupier, so I persume he died in a Workhouse/Hopsital and had no family in the area to register the death.
Any help on my conundrem, exspecially locating William's wife would be much received (I know it's a long shot as Bromley is a common name).
Many Thanks,
Tippin
