  • Acid Free Paper/Pens/Pencils/Highlighters

I have a massive notebook full of my step-by-step research. If I found something, which I was unsure about, I'd write it in the notebook, attach photos etc, until I could be certain enough to add it to my tree. I didn't think at the time, but the pages are perforated, which means the more I go through it, the more the pages are going to tear out. I am being careful, but if my kids want to follow my research when they're older, I don't think the book will last long.

So I'm confronted with the reality that I will need to rewrite it all in a better place.

I think I've heard of acid-free paper and pens, but does anyone know if regular paper will suffice, if it's kept clean etc? Also regarding pens; I wrote everything with a standard Bic biro; do we know if this will fade over time? So far it hasn't, but it's only been 5 years since my first entry in the notebook, so hardly a large amount of time.

Also I used highlighters and pritt stick, but thinking back, perhaps that wasn't a great idea. Does anyone know of anywhere I can find suitable substitutes?
Researching ESLICK, FIFIELD, BLANCHE, UNICUME, HATFIELD, SALTER, amongst many others!

You can get acid free sleeves to put all your work into like the ones used for school work, see through but these protect the paper.

This site may help but there are others http://www.genfair.co.uk/product_lis...=51&page=46929
