  • Help reading a name on the 1861 census please

Can't quite make out the first name of the 14yo female Robinson on this page, living with her elder brother and sisters (John, Ann and Mary)

According to the Births index for the period 1845-1848 in Derby, the only female Robinsons registered were either called Elizabeth or Emma, but no matter how hard I stare at it, I can't make it look like either. I've also checked Ashbourne registration district, just in case she was born in Rodsley like her earlier siblings, but the choice of girls names from there are Sarah, Sarah Jane, Rachel, Alice, Rosetta and Angelina.

    Anyone any other ideas, please?

wonder if its Ellen?? though it does look like Elson.. not much help, it may be that she was only baptised though. (so wouldn't be an actual birth registration)

My initial thought was Ellen but the 'l' s don't quite match and without your information, I think I would either have come up with Ellen or Eliza.
Looking at the Elizabeth at the bottom of the page, I think Ellen is my best guess. Sorry if that does not help at all.

My first thoughts were Elson/Alison; then Ellis/Alice; possibly Ellon/Helen.

But no match in the GRO index for any of these.

I have them in 1851 In St Werbergh's Parish, Derby

Father - Thomas Robinson, b. abt 1802 Longford, Derbys
Mother - Catherine (nee Fletcher) Robinson, b. abt 1808, Rodsley, Derbys
                  Children:
                  Robert, b. 1836, Rodsley
                  William, b. 1838, Rodsley
                  Ann, b. 1840, Rodsley
                  Mary, b. 1842, Rodsley
                  Henry, b. 1844, Rodsley
Eliza, b. 1851, St. Werburgh, Derby

So there is a gap between Henry (1844) and Eliza (1851) that would fit with a child b. 1847. I've looked for baptisms for children with parents Thomas and Catherine/Katherine, but can only really identify:
                  John, bap. 25 Oct 1929, Longford,Derbys
Thomas, bap 26 Jun 1831, Longford
Alice, bap 27 Oct 1833, Longford
Robert, bap 8 Sep 1835, Longford
