  • Oh my goodness, can anyone read this name please?

This couple have been joined onto my Horsteads in Ketteringham (ancestry and the original enumerator has made a real dog's dinner out of this). Out of curiosity - can anyone work out the correct name of the husband here please - Briton is the surname - the wife appears to have been written as Francis (sic) with a lot of flourish on the first letter but Im blowed if I can make out the husbands name - who ancestry's transcriber has given the occupation of housekeeper because the enumerator has put head of house next to his name. I cant find them in 1841 or 61 to make a comparison.

    Have a look please:

Fearflas ? In 1841 he seems to be listed as Fairface Brighton in Forehoe, Norfolk.
1861 he's Fairflax Brighton, in Ketteringham
