Please can someone explain why we are getting a notice with all searches/emails etc asking for permission to place a Cookie on our PC.

What if we say No? Meanwhile I seem to have so many Cookies on my PC I wonder if I can delete them. Any guidence would be of help.

    Thank you,

A new EC (I think) law says they must always ask us if we will allow cookies.

Its fine to delete them all but do bear in mind that you will not be able to access any of your regular sites without signing in again. That's a real pain if you've forgotten the password and user name! A good clear out won't do any harm though if you have your list to hand for re-signing.

      Anne,

Nice to hear from you and thank you for your reply I will leave well alone. I struggle as it is with User Names and Passwords even though I have them on index cards.

      Cheers,

A recent post in Site News & Support explains why the "cookie" message appears on FTF.

So if you don't want to see it, don't delete the relevant cookie.. If you don't want the cookie, then be prepared for your browsing experience to be affected... The choice is yours....
