  • Here's a real challenge!

This is the only photo I have of my late mother & her siblings. Is anyone prepared to have a go at it? I did try myself but I lack the patience required!! I came a cropper over 'Uncle Will' in the sailor suit - I can't think what he had on his head (if anything). The photo would have been taken about 1914-15 I think. It looks as though Grandpa carried it around in his pocket when he was recalled to the army.

Here is my poor attempt Shirley, I'm not very experienced and I'm sure someone will do a much better job. I just tried to preserve as much of the childrens faces as possible.....

Thanks Jen - If you'd seen my attempts you would feel very superior!

Thank you too, Alan, I had no idea where to start - these are better than I could have hoped for.

Is there any chance you can rescan this at a higher resolution? This is a very low 72dpi and a rescan of at least 300dpi is recommended for a good restore.

That's very strange Niksmum. Although I haven't got the original, the picture I have says it is 300dpi. Is it possible that photobucket has changed it?
Would it be different if I emailed it? I'm confused.

The original on my PC is 1218KB at 300dpi.
