he looks better,Peter mcconkey was in the qld mounted infantry in the boer war. this photo might have been taken when he returned home to antrim for 2 months furlough after leaving south africa with an illness.I found this and the photos in side a bible given to him at time from an aunt Eliza. if any onehas any any connections in england im serching for a G.T. evans possible chaplan in england in 1900 could have been based near Woolwich hospital/shorncliff/kent he too gave peter a prayer book
