  • Looks like "snob"? Help please!

    Hello
Can I please have your opinions as to this trade.

It looks as though it says snob!
If so -what does it mean?
    Many thanks

I always thought it had something to do with shoe-making. Don't ask me where I got that from!

The website "Old occupation" has Snobscat/snob and the occupation is a shoe repairer.

It's the 18th century nickname for a cobbler's apprentice or sometimes a cobbler.
The Royal Navy commonly used that expression for shoe-repairers up until the early 1960s.
                Cheers
