    Fly driver ??

    From the Old Occupations website:
    Fly Coachman / Flyman
    Fly Proprietor/Master
    1) Drove a "fly" a one horse two wheeled light carriage
    2) Flyman also a term for a theatre stage hand
    3) A Fly Proprietor/Master employed fly drivers for hire and usually owned the flys.

Maybe he became a vegetarian ? Mind you, I doubt it because it would hardly be kind to animals to make a small weak fly pull a carriage, would it ?

so if he was a butcher in 61/71 then had various different occupations why put butcher on her m/cert in 1905?? surely she'd be too young to remember he was a butcher?? more likely to remember later occupations?
