  • Scottish Scollicks

I am trying to Trace the Surname Scollick for a friend. the scollicks i am looking into are from scotland and the furthest back that i can get is to 1778 and Isaac Scollick, he died in 1826 in Ayrshire.

I have been told that potentially the Name comes from holland and my have been Schollick but even this has not opened up any new leads. Does anyone have any ideas of where i can look next, i have looked on scotlands people but no joy so far.

Hope someone can give me some pointers.

i'm surprised your as far back as 1778, most scottish records begin around 1828. i don't know if you will find out where they came from originally, i'm assuming you've got parish registers that far back.
